Η Όλγα Ευαγγελίδου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1988. Είναι απόφοιτη του Εικαστικού Τμήματος της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Αθήνας (2006-12). Συνέχισε τις σπουδές της στο Μεταπτυχιακό Εικαστικών Τεχνών (2014-16) με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση (2015-16). To 2012-2014 φοίτησε στο τμήμα μόδας της Royal Academy of Fine Arts στην Αμβέρσα. Το 2019 έλαβε το βραβείο Artworks (2ο πρόγραμμα υποστήριξης Καλλιτεχνών Ίδρυμα Σταύρος) ενώ το 2011 διακρίθηκε με το Α’ βραβείο στον διαγωνισμό νέων σχεδιαστών μόδας (Next Generation) στο Athens Fashion Week. Είναι διδακτόρισσα του Τμήματος Θεωρίας και Ιστορίας της Τέχνης της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών (2017-2023) και έλαβε υποτροφία από το Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας (2η Προκήρυξη Υποτροφιών ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για Υποψηφίους Διδάκτορες), (2019-2022). Η διδακτορική διατριβή της έχει τίτλο: «Γυναικεία μόδα και πρότυπα ομορφιάς στο Αιγαίο. Η περίπτωση της Σύρου (1789-1850)». Το χειμερινό και εαρινό εξάμηνο 2024/25 δίδαξε ως ακαδημαϊκή υπότροφος το μάθημα Ενδυματολογία και Τέχνη, στα πλαίσια της Απόκτησης Ακαδημαϊκής Διδακτικής Εμπειρίας σε νέους επιστήμονες κατόχους Διδακτορικού στο Εικαστικό Τμήμα της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών. Ακόμη είναι ακαδημαϊκή συνεργάτιδα του Κέντρου Έρευνας για τις Ανθρωπιστικές Επιστήμες (ΚΕΑΕ) για το 2025.
Στα έργα της το ένδυμα κατέχει κεντρική θέση καθώς μοιάζει να στοιχειοθετεί την ύπαρξη των φανταστικών χαρακτήρων που δημιουργεί.

Olga Evangelidou was born in Athens in 1988. She is a graduate of the Visual Arts Department at the Athens School of Fine Arts (2006-12), where she continued her studies in the master’s program (2014-2016), with the Onassis Foundation Scholarship (2015-16). Between 2012 and 2014, she attended classes at the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. In 2019 she received the Artworks Fellowship (2nd Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Program), while in 2011 she gained first prize in the contest of New Fashion designers (Next Generation) at the 14th Athens Fashion Week. She holds a Ph.D. from the Theory and History of Art Department at the Athens School of Fine Arts (2017-2023), and she received a scholarship from the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation (“2nd Call for H.F.R.I. Scholarships for Ph.D. Candidates”), (2019-2022). Her dissertation, under the supervision of the Professor of European History Ada Dialla, focuses on the history of dress and the beauty standards in the late 18th and early 19th century in the islands of the Aegean sea. During the winter and spring semesters of the 2024/25 academic year, she taught the course “Costume Design and Art” in the Department of Fine Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts as an Academic Fellow, under the Lifelong Learning Actions in Higher Education – Acquisition of Academic Teaching Experience for Young Scientists Holding a PhD program. She is also an Academic Fellow at the Research Centre for the Humanities (RCH) for the year 2025.
Dress plays a significant role in her work, it seems as if it proves the existence of the imaginary characters she creates.
